Introducing Knapsack
Meet Knapsack, the personal travel organizer for Mac OS X Leopard. Knapsack is the first major release and offers many user-friendly features including map pins with location postcards, a flexible itinerary planner, trip checklists, and professional-looking printed itineraries.
Stick a pin on the map
Just as you might stick a pin on a map to mark a spot that you`ve visited, you can use the map in Knapsack to place pins that represent locations from your trips. Click on any pin to see a postcard from that location.
Create an itinerary for your next trip
With the flexible itinerary planner you can build an itinerary with as much or as little detail as you need. Shuffle activities between days or even rearrange entire days. When you return from your trip, Knapsack allows you to add notes and create your own memory trip which you can relieve them when you want.
Use checklists to store all of your to do items
As you plan your trip, use checklists to keep track of all your unfinished business. Create packing lists, shopping lists, or lists of all the things that you need to do before you leave. Check each item off as you complete it to track your progress. Never forget your toothbrush or camera again.
Print your itinerary and go
Print a professional-looking itinerary to take with you. While you`re at it, print a copy to leave behind for family and friends. You can even email your itinerary to anybody around the world.
Create Groups
Create your own groups to categorize your trips. Create a group called "Europe" and drag all your European vacations there. Or, use a group called "Business Trips" to organize those not-for-pleasure excursions.
Smart Groups
Built-in smart groups automatically show your upcoming, recent, unscheduled, and top-rated trips. Reliving your travel adventures has never been so organized.
Search Trips
As your trip library grows, search for specific trips by typing keywords into the search box. The map dynamically changes to display only the pins from matching trips.
Built-in Sample Trips
Knapsack ships with a number of built-in sample trips to whet your appetite. You can copy, modify, or delete these trips without worries; they can always be reloaded with a simple menu item.
Built-In Help
Use the help menu directly inside Knapsack to browse by category or search with keywords. You`ll find easy-to-follow instructions for everything Knapsack can do for you.
Automatic Updating
Never worry about being out of date. Knapsack will check for the latest updates every time it`s launched using the popular Sparkle framework.
