iTunesFeaturedCheck is a free and open source Perl script which scrapes the App Store and finds out whether an app is featured on either the App Store homepage or in a specific category.
If the app you are searching for is not featured in any App Store category, nothing will be printed out.
The iTunesFeaturedCheck script takes a while to complete because it needs to fetch 8 9 pages per country. The output is in tab-delimited format to facilitate post processing of the data.
