The Kiva MFI Checker extension provides you a comprehensive list of options to choose from. At the moment, its aim is to determine the motives behind an MFI`s operation, be they secular or religious.
This extension allows you to maintain a list of MFIs that you are concerned about. Either as a list of MFIs you want to avoid providing money to, or as a list that you want to provide money to. It is your choice.
Kiva may eventually include some sort of flag to indicate certain criteria about an MFI. In conclusion, you can use this tool to maintain your own list.
NOTE: The Kiva MFI Checker add-on is cross-platform and it works on Windows, Linux and Mac OS.
