BitlBee brings IM (instant messaging) to IRC clients. It`s a great solution for people who have an IRC client running all the time and don`t want to run an additional MSN/AIM/whatever client.
BitlBee currently supports the following IM networks/protocols: XMPP/Jabber (including Google Talk), Yahoo! Messenger, AIM, MSN Messenger and ICQ.

· Resolved ICQ login issues a few people were having.
· Many changes to the Twitter module: Ability to follow/unfollow, use non-Twitter Twitter API services, better error reporting, and some bugfixes.
· You can configure BitlBee to identify itself as a different client to get around artificial client restrictions.
· Some more minor bug fixes/etc.
